A Little About Me

Hello! My name is Ellie. I am the writer behind Rivers of Books. My goal for this blog is to share my passion for reading and nature in one space. I am a strong believer that anyone can be a reader and I hope I can help you find your next read.

As a reader, I enjoy most genres, but my favorite genre is adult mystery/thriller. I often find myself jumping among  a wide range of genres. I read a mix of adult and young adult with a dash of middle grade and graphic novels. My favorite place to read is outside on the beach or just in some fresh air.

When I am not reading, I enjoy being outdoors hiking in national parks or forest preserves. Living in a city, it is difficult to escape into nature but wherever I travel I try to find some green spaces. When outside, I especially enjoy hiking challenging trails, but being able to walk through nature is definitely the best part. Some of my favorite national parks include Zion National Park in Utah and Acadia National Park in Maine.

If there are again towns with streetlights, if there are symphonies and newspapers, then what else might this awakening world contain?
